Journey Planner Help

This screen is the starting point for your journey plan enquiry. You can specify your journey start and end points, the date and time of your journey and how you want to travel ? by rail, bus etc.

Origin Location Help

This is where you enter the start point of your journey. You can enter:

(a) a house number and street name (e.g. 17 High Street).

(b) a house number and street name, and a suburb (e.g. 17 High Street Hilperton)

(c) a suburb (e.g. Hilperton).

(d) a postcode (e.g. BA14 7SZ).

Destination Location Help

This is where you enter the end point of your journey. You can enter:

(a) a house number and street name (e.g. 17 High Street).

(b) a house number and street name, and a suburb (e.g. 17 High Street Hilperton)

(c) a suburb (e.g. Hilperton).

(d) a postcode (e.g. BA14 7SZ).

Time Field

This field is for entering the time. Time should be entered using the 24 hour clock e.g. 9:00 is nine o'clock in the morning, and 21:00 is nine o'clock in the evening.

Date Field

You can either type the date in directly or click on the calendar. This will pop up a small calendar: simply click on the date for your journey. Note: You will only be able to plan a journey between the two dates specified on screen.

Leave After/Arrive By

By default, when you plan a journey the next available journey will be displayed first. This means that the Leave After option is normally selected. You may wish to plan a journey in order to arrive by a specific time. If this is the case, select the Arrive By option.

Modes of Transport

This allows you to choose which mode(s) of transport you wish to. For example, if you wish to travel by bus and train but not by any other means you can simply select the bus and train options by clicking the tick box next to the appropriate option. The default option is to travel using any mode of transport.

Submitting your Request

When you have filled in the relevant details for your proposed journey you should click the "Find Journey" button at the bottom of the page.

Return Journey

You can plan your return journey by clicking the "Return Journey" button. This will switch your to and from locations so that you can search for a return journey.

Resetting the Form

If at any point you wish to reset the form to its initial state you can click the "Reset" button.
